Often times system updates on Nintendo’s hardware have a little extra feature hidden somewhere waiting to be found by fans. Much like the addition being able to use wireless headsets on Nintendo Switch with the most recent firmware 4.0.0, the GameCube Adapter – an accessory made for the Wii U – now works with Nintendo Switch. GameXplain gives us a test. GameCube controllers have also been tested with various Switch games from quite a few people and they all work as they should. Is Nintendo gearing up for their Virtual Console to include GameCube games or is Super Smash Bros. for Switch coming sooner than expected? Perhaps both? All-in-all, it seems definitely more than a random thing as this kind of hardware functionality requires programming for compatibility. Exciting!
