“Tennis in the Face has been a big hit among kids and the juvenile for several years now. We’re happy to make it available on Switch. It’s very easy to pick up and play, and there’s a lot of inherent delightfulness in seeing ragdoll characters being knocked around.” says Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons.
Tennis in the Face is a physics based puzzle game with slapstick humor. The player must clear 120 increasingly challenging levels as the former tennis star Pete Pagassi, sworn to rid the city from the grasp of the corrupt energy drink manufacturer Explodz Inc. The gameplay consists of knocking out Explodz fueled villains like creepy clowns, corrupt riot police, mad scientists and hipsters with swift tennis serves. Bouncing the ball off walls, platforms and other objectives is the core of the puzzle mechanic.
The ball bounces off walls and platforms and triggers Explodz-crates, ball tubes, and countless other objects. Your actions will set off chain reactions and you’ll watch the events unfold while knocking out the enemies. The more enemies you knock out with a single serve, the higher your score!
Win levels to move to the next district and towards your ultimate goal: The desctruction of Explodz mega-factory. Try to earn a crown from each level and challenge your friends on three different leaderboards.
Tennis in the Face, a physics based puzzle game with slapstick comedy by 10tons, will become available for Nintendo Switch on December 8th. The game is priced $4.99 USD (€4.99 EUR).
